Abstract

The epic folk poems that have reached us today have been created mainly by following the example of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and in the period after the composition of this work. These poems generally have a content centered on Rostam's personality, hence they are called Rostamnameh. Rostamnameh have been written with the motive of completing Rostam's character from a religious point of view and giving him a religious image. Rostam's character in the national epic of Iran does not have much religious color. Except in the story of Rostam and Esfandiar, where the dispute is sometimes related to religious issues, and the dispute could be with the issue of nationality and religion. In the poem Rostamnameh, we encounter a character from Rostam who, for the first time in his struggles, encounters a religious category and moves forward for a religious struggle. The creator of this work, like other popular epics after Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, has taken the example of the national epic and composed it with a lower level. In this article, we decided to examine the modeling of one of the examples of Rostamnameh according to the thematic similarity with one of the stories in Shahnameh from the perspective of form.
