Onomastics is one of the minor branch of linguistics that deals with artificial and conceptual aspects of recruiting the knowledge of onomastics of fictional characters in the literature and literary criticism. The professional authors select the aimed fictional characters names and have their own reasons and aims for selecting each choice. The onomastics of characters can be one of the greats to enter the world of novel and familiarity with its authors ideology. The Hamsayeha novel is one of the best example for using the onomastics of characters. Ahmad Mahmood has tried to convey his special attitude and ideology to the addressee with selecting the aimed names. The Hamsayeha novel has been investigated from onomastics of its characters perspective in the present study with descriptive analytic procedure. The results of this study has shown that the economic status, taking advantage of power social norms, religion and sect and ideology are five basic elements in selecting the namesof the characters of Hamsayeha novel.
