Analysis of the Nezami's Poems Haft Peykar based on Seligman's theory of positive thinking

Abstract

Hafte Peykar is one of the most beautiful poems in Persian literature that has always been considered by researchers. The main issue of this research is the study Poems based on Seligman's theory in a descriptive-analytical method. The purpose of this study is to ensure that the aspects of this Poems are in accordance with the mentioned theory. Nezami ,has paid special attention to cultivating the good human virtues and the spiritual and psychological excellence of the characters of his Poetry book in his characterization of the characters of the Poems Haft Peykar. In the present article, the actions and behaviors of the characters of this Poems and the concepts included in the margins of the poems are matched with the virtues and components of positive thinking in the mentioned theory and the obtained results are analyzed. This study shows that the six virtues of reason, courage, humanity, justice, moderation and excellence and the sub-capabilities of each of these virtues are reflected in the behavior and actions and ideas of the characters of this Poems and the virtue of transcendence is more prominent among the six virtues.
